--A member of the First Market Committee — to his credit be it said — had several sugar-loaf measures taken from country sharpers at the market-house yesterday morning as being illegal. Not satisfied with getting eighteen and twenty four times the old prices for potatoes and other vegetables, these starvers of soldiers' families and the community generally, have been measuring their products in vessels so narrow at the top that a good size potato could not get into them. Not only the measures, but the vegetables, ought to be seized in all such cases.
