A Hergine.

--When Miss. Emma volunteered her services to Gen. Forrest, and rendered him valuable assistance in the capture of the Yankee raider, Strait, in the vicinity of Rome, by showing him the nearest routes and the most accessible fords through Northern Georgia and Northeastern Alabama, she little dreamed perhaps that she was on the road to fame. Her name will be handed down to posterity as one of the heroines of this war. We notice that a bill has been reported from the select committee in the Legislature of Alabama for donating this heroic girl a medal and a section of land for female heroism. The pill will pass both Houses and become a law of course.
