Bell Ringers

--At the next meeting of the City Council two new policemen will be elected to attend the station-houses from sunrise till sunset, and to ring the alarm bells when fires occur. These officers should be required to assist the clerks of the market in enforcing the ordinance and preserving good order, but never to leave the mark places for any purpose. Non-conscripts, and none others, should be chosen for these places, and old citizens ought to have the preference.
