Financial and Commercial.
The specie market has still an upward tendency.
The brokers are now paying $18 for gold and selling it at $21; silver is bought at $14 and sold at $18.
Bonds and Stocks.--At the sale of
Messrs. Lancaster & Co., on Wednesday, bonds and stocks reached the following figures, viz: Confederate 8 per cents, 107 to 111; 7 per cent bonds, 102½ to 103; bonds of 15 M loan, 182½ to 191.
State Bonds.--
Virginia registered bonds, 240 to 247 and interest;
registered bonds, past due, 215;
North Carolina 8 per cents, 287 and int;
Missouri bond of $140, at 425; bonds of
Chesapeake and
Ohio Canal, guaranteed by
Virginia, $246 and int.
Railroad Bonds.--Va Central railroad, 2d mortgage, 264 and int;
Orange and
Alexandria, 250 and int. Coupons of the 15 M loan brought $150, and $500 in
gold coin were run up to $19¼, and $1000 in silver to $16½.
Grain.--
Wheat may be quoted at $15 to 18 per bushel, according to quality.
Corn is bringing from $14 to 15 per bushel.
Flour.--Superfine $100 to 105; Extra $105 to 110.
Corn Meal.--From $15 to 16 per bushel.
Country Produce and Vegetables.--
Bacon' hoground, $3 to 3.25 per lb; Lard $3.25 to 3.50, Beef 80 cents to $1; Venison $2 to 2.25; Poultry $1.25 to 1.50; Butter $4 to 4.50; Apples $65 to 80 per bbl; Onions $30 to 35 per bushel; Irish Potatoes $8 to $10 per bushel; Sweet do. $12 to 15, and scares; Turnips $5 to $6 per bushel.

Brown Sugars firm at $3 to $3.25; clarified $4.50; English crushed $4.60 to $5; Sorghum Molasses $13 to $14 per gallon;
Rice 30 to 32 cents per lb; Salt 35 to 40 cts; Black

Liquors.--Whiskey $55 to $75 per gallon;
Apple brandy $45 to $50; Rum, proof, $55; Gin, $50;
French Brandy, $80 to $125; old
Hennessy, $180;
Scotch Whiskey, $90; Champagne, (extra,) $350 per dozen; Claret, (qts,) $90 to $100; Gin $150 per case;
Alsop's Ale (qts) $110; pts $50.
Tobacco.--The tobacco market is much more quiet for the past few days, and prices are firm but unchanged.
Leather.--We quote sole leather at $6.50 to 7.50 per lb; upper do $7.50 to 9; harness do $7 to $8.
