is expected so arrive here on the Danville train this afternoon, when he will be met at the depot by the Council committee and a detachment of military, and escorted to the Ballard House, where a suite of rooms have been prepared for him. On Friday morning the General will be escorted to the Council Chamber, in the City Hall, where our citizens will call upon him, and have an opportunity of congratulating him upon his escape from the iron clutches of his bloodthirsty enemies.--The following dispatch was received yesterday morning from the Mayor of Danville:Gen. Morgan will leave here for Richmond on Thursday morning next.
The Council committee will meet in the City Hall this morning, at 11 o'clock, to perfect arrangements for the reception of the gallant Kentuckian, whose praise is in every mouth, and whose deeds are but chapters in the history of the South.
