The enemy on the Peninsula.

On Saturday last the city was again rife with the report that the enemy in force were advancing towards Richmond by the Peninsula route. This rumor has been so often given to the public, that it now falls to excite interest. The last report had its foundation in the fact that a small body of Yankee cavalry was at Burnt Ordinary on Friday. They did not, however, venture beyond that point.
