The correspondent of this paper, under the signature of "X."--
Mr. J. B. Sener, of
Fredericksburg — has contributed some interesting and instructive letters on the subject of the
Pennsylvania campaign of last year.
It is his intention to publish these letters in book form.
The
Whig, of Saturday, noticing this proposal of
Mr. S., says:
‘
Mr. Senor has had unusual facilities for procuring the materials out of which an accurate history of the
Pennsylvania campaign can be written, and seems to have executed his task with fairness and ability.
His style is graphic, clear, and at times, spirited.
His little book will be a valuable contribution to the history of the war, and find many purchasers.
