From Northern Virginia.

Milford, May 18.
--It is reported here that the enemy made an advance on us this morning at Stanard's Mill, near the Telegraph road, just beyond the river Ni, with infantry, artillery, and cavalry, and that we have repulsed them most handsomely. It is quite certain that heavy firing was heard here from that direction for several hours this morning, but it has now ceased.
