Rescued from Drowning.

--Michael Wayne fell in the canal, near Myers's bridge, yesterday morning about four o'clock, and would have drowned had it not been for the timely appearance of a negro employed at the Tredegar Iron Works. He had gone down for the last time, when the negro arrived and diving to the bottom of the water secured his body and carried it to the above. Life was to every appearance extinct, but by dint of rubbing and rolling him over, in a few minutes he revived again and is now doing well.
