Gored by a cow.

--A little girl named Alice daughter of Mrs. Alice Stywater, living on Third street, near Shockoe Hill Cemetery, was gored severely in the left side yesterday morning by an infuriated cow. The child was in the act of being tossed up a second time, when a gentleman who was passing rushed in and succeeded in driving the animal off. In the opinion of the physician called in to dress the wound inflicted upon the little girl, there is no reason to apprehend fatal consequences. Vicious cows are dangerous, and should always be kept off the street.
