The Citizens of Jefferson Ward will be gratified to learn that Colonel Ingram, the city contractor, will open a stall in the Old Market this morning, where housekeepers and others will be furnished with fresh meats at reduced prices. Colonel Ingram has secured the stall heretofore occupied by F. C. Brauer, and has secured the services of W. H. and F. C. Brauer as salesmen. His supply of mutton is said to be of a superior order, and he expects to offer, from day to day, beef of good quality at reasonable prices. The city would do well to engage other butchers in the First Market to furnish meat supplies, and thus reduce the price of that necessary article.
