State Arms.
--As will be seen by an advertisement in this paper, the
Adjutant-General of the
State calls on all persons having in their possession arms and accoutrements, the property of the
State, and not using them as members of some military organization of the
State, to deliver them as speedily as possible to
Captain P. G. Coghlan, the officer in charge of the
State Armory, corner Seventh and Cary streets, in this city.
We hope this call will be cheerfully and readily obeyed.
It is important that it should be — in fact, persons neglecting to comply will render themselves liable to legal penalty, as each and every individual holding such arms and accoutrements is personally responsible for their full value to the State Department, from which they been received.
