Five hundred dollars Reward.

--Ran away from the American Hotel, on September 26, a yellow slave named William. Said boy is five feet seven inches high, bushy head, no beard, very prominent teeth. He formerly belonged to Captain Marks, of Prince George, but more recently owned by Captain W. T. Peterson, of Petersburg. He has a wife at Mrs. Julian C. Ruffin's, in Amelia county. The above reward will be paid for his delivery to us or confinement in county jail.
