--The notorious bogus Captain C. W. Savage, alias Bloodgood, alias Lassiter, committed to Castle Thunder a week or two since, made an ineffectual attempt to escape from his place of confinement on Monday night. He succeeded in cutting from one cell to another, and was in a fair way towards getting into the street, when he was discovered by Adjutant Wiley and committed to one of the inner cells. A few nights since, this same individual was overhauled, while dressed in female apparel, attempting to pass out of the prison as a washerwoman.
