--Corporal N. W. Maddox, of the Nelson Light Artillery, was sent to the Castle yesterday upon the charge of desertion and shooting Lieutenant Harrison, who had been sent with a squad to arrest him. Lieutenant Harrison, we learn, received a severe wound.

A number of deserters from Grant's lines were received yesterday.
