Senate.

Thursday, March 30, 1865.
In this body, to-day, seventeen members appeared in their seats. Mr. Newman, of Mason, called to order; after which, on motion, the Senate resolved into secret session in order to determine the constitutionality of transacting business in the absence of a quorum when the requisite number were detained from their seats in consequence of the movements of the enemy.

House of Delegates.

The House met at 12 o'clock; but no quorum being present, a motion to adjourn was agreed to.
