Daring Robbery.

--The store of J. M. Peers, on Seventeenth street, was broken open last Monday night about 11 o'clock and robbed of four hundred dollars in United States Treasure notes and two hundred and fifty dollars worth of bacon, together with many other articles. Mr. Peers has been in the habit of sleeping at his store, for the protection of his stock, but was spending the evening with some relatives and friends at the time of the perpetration of the theft, and returned just in time to hear the burglars go off with their plunder. He has been unable to obtain any information that will lead to the arrest of the scoundrels and the recovery of his goods and money.
