Sculpture.

We had the pleasure of seeing at the studio of Mr. Valentine, a bust of General Stonewall Jackson, now nearly completed, in plaster. It is a masterly work. The likeness is striking, and the whole face bears the impress of great strength in repose. It is more like Jackson than the photograph of him so familiar to every one. It is a life-size bust.

Mr. Valentine has a bust of General J. E. B. Stuart partly done, in clay. It promises to be a fine work. He intends to visit Lexington shortly, for the purpose of making a bust of General R. E. Lee. If this should prove worthy of what he has already done, it will be an artistic work.
