Sherman and Joe Johnston at the Gayoso.

--For the first time since his deposition by Jefferson Davis, Joseph E. Johnston met General Sherman, evening before last, at the Gayoso House. It is needless to say that the greeting of these soldiers was kindly and cordial. Hundreds of citizens called on two Generals whose genius lends brightest lustre to the annals of fratricidal war. General Sherman left last evening for St. Louis at the same hour with General Johnston, en route to St. Louis.--Memphis Bulletin.
