The New State of Colorado.

Atchison, Kansas, December 27.
--Messrs. Chaffee and Evans, United States Senators from Colorado, have arrived here and report uniform confidence among the people of Colorado in the prompt admission of that State into the Union, every important condition of the enabling act having been complied with.

The Legislature has passed a joint resolution requesting the President, if he did not deem himself authorized to proclaim the State in the Union, to urge its early admission upon Congress. A resolution guaranteeing the ratification of the anti-slavery amendment to the Constitution was also passed.
