1 Boissevain's tentative restoration of this fragment, her adopted, folloss in part that of Niebuhr (Rhein. Mus. 2, p. 588 ff.). Mai sas able to read only small portions of the first seven lines (dosn to kai\ oi( eu)porw/teroi) in the Ms., and their decipherment is still more difficult to-day. Unfortunately se have no other account of the circumstances here recorded, aside from the fes sords in Zonaras.
