ἔχρισα μὲν corresponds with κἄθηκα in 691, not with εἴσω δ̓ in 693. Cp. Ai.1ἀεὶ μέν”,...3 “καὶ νῦν”: Thuc.2. 65§ 12 “δέκα μὲν ἔτη ἀντεῖχον...καὶ οὐ πρότερον ἐνέδοσαν”. So “μέν...τε”, belowThuc., 1012.κατ᾽ οἶκον, in the house (and not outside the gates): ἐν δόμοις, in the “γυναικωνῖτις”, and not in the open “αὐλή”. For this limited sense of “δόμοι”, cp. Hom.
