A.unwonted, strange, “ὄψις” A.Supp.567; δώματα v.l. in S.Fr.583.10. Adv.-θως unexpectedly, Th.4.17.
II. unused to a thing, c. gen., “μάχης” Th.4.34, cf. Pl.Tht.146b,al.; ἀ. τοῦ κατακούειν, τοῦ προπηλακίζεσθαι, D.1.23, 21.72.
b. strange in manner, unlike oneself, prob. f.l. for ἀγηθής in S.Tr.869.
2. without character, “τραγῳδία” Arist.Po.1450a25, cf. 1460a11.
