A.adulterer, paramour, Hippon.74, S.Fr.[1127.6], Ar.Pl. 168, Pl.Smp.191d, etc.: prov., “θύραν, δι᾽ ἧς γαλῆ καὶ μ. οὐκ εἰσέρχεταιApollod.Car.6; “ὅρκοι μοιχῶνPhilonid.7; κεκαρμένος μοιχὸν μιᾷ μαχαίρᾳ having the head close shaven with a razor, as was done by way of punishment to persons taken in adultery, Ar.Ach.849.
