Cătăcĕcaumĕnē , ēs, f., = Κατακεκαυμένη (scorched),
I.a region of Mysia or Mœonia, scorched by the sun, but abounding in vines.—Hence, Cătăcĕcaumĕ-nītes , ae, m., = Κατακεκαυμενίτης (sc. οί̂νος), the wine of this region, Vitr. 8, 3, 12; Plin. 14, 7, 9, § 75; cf. Vitr. 2, 6.
