I.forward, onward, farther on, to a distance, at a distance, after off, far.
I. Lit., in space, with verbs both of motion and of rest (rare and mostly anteclass.), Ter. Hec. 3, 1, 18: “porro agere armentum,Liv. 1, 7, 6: “ire,id. 9, 2.—So ellipt.: porro Quirites, on! hither! ye Romans! Laber. ap. Macr. S. 2, 7; Tert. adv.
