The modern Denia; a town in Hispania Tarraconensis on a promontory of the same name (now Cape S. Martin) founded by the Massilians. Here stood a celebrated temple of Diana, from which the town derived its name (Plin. H. N. iii. 5Plin. H. N., 11).
