Lartius Florus


1.

Titus, a consul, who appeased a sedition raised by the poorer citizens, and was the first dictator ever chosen at Rome, B.C. 498 (Livy, ii. 18).


2.

Spurius, one of the three Romans who withstood the fury of Porsenna's army at the head of a bridge while the communication was being cut down behind them. His companions were Cocles and Herminius (see Cocles; Livy, ii. 10, 18; Val. Max. iii. 2).
