Lartius Florus

Titus, a consul, who appeased a sedition raised by the poorer
citizens, and was the first dictator ever chosen at Rome, B.C. 498 (
Livy,
ii. 18).
2.
Spurius, one of the three Romans who withstood the fury of
Porsenna's army at the head of a bridge while the communication was being cut down behind
them. His companions were Cocles and Herminius (see
Cocles;
Livy, ii. 10, 18; Val. Max. iii. 2).
