Longimănus

(the Roman rendering of Μακρόχειρ). A surname of Artaxerxes I. Plutarch states that this appellation was given him because his right hand was longer than his left, but Strabo says that he was so called from the extraordinary length of his arms, which, on his standing upright, could reach his knees.
