Nasidius

Quintus (Lucius?). A Roman sent by Pompey in B.C. 49 with a squadron to relieve Massilia (Marseilles) when besieged by Decimus Brutus. Brutus routed him, and he fled to Africa, where he continued to serve Pompey as a naval commander, and afterwards Sex. Pompey in Sicily. In the contest of Antony with Octavianus, he sided with the former (B. C. ii. 3-7; B. C. v. 139).
