Redimicŭlum

A long lappet, or fillet attached to the mitra (Isidor. Orig. xix. 31, 5; Verg. Aen. ix. 616), or any other head-dress of similar character, for the purpose of fastening it under the chin; but

the whole of which, when loose, would hang down over the shoulders and breast (Ovid, Met. x. 265). See Mitra.
