Trasimēnus Lacus

Now Lago di Perugia; sometimes, but not correctly, written Thrasymēnus. A lake in Etruria, between Clusium and Perusia, memorable for the victory gained by Hannibal over the Romans under Flaminius, B.C. 217. See Hannibal.
