Arrius, a son of the preceding, was an unsuccessful candidate for the consulship, B. C. 59. (

He was an intimate friend of Cicero (
in Vatin. 12,
pro Mil. 17); but Cicero during his exile complains bitterly of the conduct of Arrius. (
