Capron, Allyn Kissam 1871-

Military officer; born in Brooklyn, N. Y., June 24, 1871; son of Allyn Capron; was educated in his native city; joined the Army Oct. 20, 1890. When hostilities with Spain broke out he entered the 1st United States Volunteer Cavalry, popularly known as the “Rough Riders,” and was made a captain. He was killed in the battle of Las Guasimas, Cuba, June 24, 1898.
