Foote, William Henry 1794-1869

Clergyman; born in Colchester, Conn., Dec. 20, 1794; graduated at Yale College in 1816; and became chaplain in the Confederate army. He was author of Sketches, Historical and biographical, of the Presbyterian Church in Virginia; and Sketches in North Carolina. He died in Romney, W. Va., Nov. 18, 1869.
