Lippincott, Sara Jane 1823-

(better known by her pen-name of Grace Greenwood), author; born in Pompey, N. Y., Sept. 23, 1823; married Leander K. Lippincott in 1853; was long engaged in magazine and newspaper work. Her books were written chiefly for the young. They include Greenwood leaves; Stories and legends of travel; New life in New lands; Victoria, Queen of England; Records of five years; Recollections of my childhood, etc.
