Dealing in lead.

--Erben Irvin was inducted in the presence of the Mayor yesterday, charged with having unlawfully possessed himself of a keg of white lead belonging to Wm. Satler & Co. The article usually sold at ten cents per pound, and was disposed of by him for half the amount, on the principle of lightly come — lightly go. The Mayor did not recognize the validity of the transaction in any of its aspects, and therefore sent the defendant to jail to be indicted by the Grand Jury.
