Cutting the levees.

--Three villains have lately been seen cutting the levees near Friars' Point, Miss. It is said that the water has spread about three quarters of a mile, and but for the fact that the river is falling rapidly, the damage to the crops would be immense. The latest report is that the depredators were pursued, fired upon, and drowned. There are others suspected of participation in this wicked warfare, and if found out, they will pay dearly for their wickedness.--Memphis Bulletin, 9th.
