Destructive fire at Halifax

--Less of Life.--A destructive fire occurred on Saturday night in Halifax, N. S., which destroyed fifty-nine establishments, on Hallis, George and Prince streets, including the American Consulate, Exchange Rooms. Fuller's Express, the offices of the Journal, Chronicle, Gazette, Casket and Express newspapers, the Halifax Library, Stewart's Saloon, Irish Volunteer Orderly Room, four Insurance Offices, Sheriff's Office, Odd Fellows' Hall, stores and lawyers' offices. One man was killed and many injured by the failing walls.
