Later from Nassau, N. P.

--The Charleston Courier has the following extract from a letter received in that city, dated Nassau, N. P., August 20.

We see that it is likely the young Republic will soon be recognized by both England and France. We hope that the war will soon be over. A vessel from Manassas to Europe, called the William and Vane, under the Dutch colors, and presumed to be a Southern vessel, was lost on the bank — cargo 8200 box of sugar, about 2000 boxes saved; some considerably damaged.
