The singular development was made a few days ago in Washington, in respect to pistol cartridges given out to some of the cavalry, that they were filled, some with wooden plugs and others with turnip seeds.

The Louisville (Bowling Green) Courier denies the rumor which has been circulated, that the wife of ex-Gov. Morehead, of Kentucky, is insane.

Frederick Edwards, of Louisville, Ky., was seriously wounded in camp near Bowling Green, a few days ago, by the accidental discharge of a musket.

Two men were arrested in St. Louis on Thursday, one named J. Adams, charged with being a spy from Gen. Price's army, and the other, McDougall, on the charge of treason.
