Murder.

--On Thursday last Morgan Britain was committed to jail in Martinsburg for shooting and killing his wife, on the 25th inst. Brittain lives on the mountain six or seven miles from this place. He had been with the militia, but had deserted. The only reason we have heard given for the murder is that, on going home, he found his wife in possession of a dress of which she did not give him a satisfactory account as to how it was obtained.--Martinsburg Rep., 28th.
