Highway robbery.

--Alderman Taylor yesterday issued a warrant against M. Welsh, at the instance of James Matheny, a soldier, who charges him with robbing him on Wednesday, January 29th, at the corner of Cary and Pearl streets, of a pocket-book containing four $20 Confederate Treasury notes of the value of eighty dollars. The robbery is alleged to have been committed on the evening of the day named. Up to a late hour yesterday evening the police had not succeeded in apprehending the offender.
