Fight in Scott county, Tenn.

--From the Knoxville Register, of the 15th inst., we copy the following:

Major McLinn reports to Colonel Vance, commanding this post, that with four companies. He made a march by night of twenty-six years, over mountain roads into Scott county, to attack a body of Johnson's and followers. He found them in detached companies. Dismounting a portion of he attacked them with such vigor they fled. The pursuit was continued through mountain gorges and defiles several miles, the enemy making stands defensible positions. Six of the enemy are found dead. The prisoners named we committed to jail yesterday afternoon. The were left behind.
