From Fredericksburg.

The train on the Fredericksburg Road did not arrive last night for more than an hour after its usual time, and it was alleged that its detention resulted from heavy skirmishing in the vicinity of Fredericksburg. Passengers who came down on it, however, report that no fighting had occurred though the opening of the ball was hourly looked for, and it was confidently believed would not be delayed beyond to-day. The enemy are evidently making preparations for an attack, and our forces are held in readiness to meet any movement that may be made from the other side. Up to 12 o' clock yesterday nothing had been done is the way of fighting.
