Stirring news from the Coast.

--The Charleston Courier, of the 31st ult., learns that the enemy had landed in force on Seabrook's or John's Island. It is also reported that three gunboats and a number of transports were lying off the Island. It further says:

‘ This news was confirmed by passengers on the train from Savannah last night, who also stated that a skirmish had already taken place between our own and the enemy's pickets. It was added that we had taken three prisoners, two of them severely wounded. Another rumor was that our pickets had been driven in, and that the enemy were advancing.

Gen. Hagood had ordered all females, children and non-combatants, to be removed from Adam's run, and quite a number arrived with their baggage on the afternoon train. Adam's run is about twelve miles distant from Seabrook's Island.

We have not learned of any official report of an engagement, but there is scarcely a doubt that the enemy are moving in the direction indicated. We may have starting news to-day. Different reports forces there, however are believed to be amply sufficient to give the invaders a warm welcome, and repeat the leassons of Pocotaligo and Secessionville.
