Our telegrams from the Southwest still continue to be of the most cheering character. The brave garrison of Vicksburg is as confident and determined as ever, and Kirby Smith, with ten thousand men, is said to occupy Miliken's Bend, some twenty miles above Vicksburg, on the right bank of the Mississippi, and to have cut off Banks's supplies. The Northern news has been anticipated in our issue of Monday. It will be noticed that all the reports concur in the Yankee losses at Vicksburg and Port Hudson to have been enormous. No wonder that Grant should call for reinforcements.
