Rumors from Louisiana.

--The Mobile Advertiser of the 25th ult., says:

‘ Gentlemen lately from the vicinity of New Orleans state that news had been received there of a heavy defeat of the Federals at Franklin, La.--One of them saw a copy of the Era which admitted the defeat, and noticed the arrival of a large number of wounded men. He offered $25 for the paper, but could not obtain it.

’ A pretty well founded report from another source has been received, to the effect that Gen. Potigun had whipped Sherman at Trinity, in Louisiana.--Also, that Gen. Price had driven the enemy out of Little Rock, Arkansas, and was in possession of that place. From the sources from which these reports came, we are inclined to give some credence to them.
