--Some time since a notice was published of the execution, near Petersburg, of a young man, named Beasley, for desertion, who, it was stated, was a son of the late Richard V. Beasley, formerly of the firm of Beasley &Quaries. This statement is altogether erroneous, as the deserter was no relative of the family named; and all the sons of the late Mr. Beasley are now engaged in the defence of their country. The papers which copied the error would rectify it by publishing these facts.
