The Instrumental Concert at Monticello Hall on Monday night was a very fine one. The orchestra was composed of thirteen performers, and, for its size, we believe that it has not its superior in this country. Among the gems of the occasion were a chorus from Der Tanhæuser, the overture of Lestocq, the overture of Zampa, and a potpourri from the Enchantress, by Mr. Rosenberg, who was the conductor of the orchestra. A violin solo, by Mr. Kessnich, was a most artistic performance. The variations upon a well- known theme from Beethoven called forth rapturous applause. We learn that a series of concerts will be given shortly.
